Project

Problem

There is no community platform that centered around playful experience for all kinds of readers to share both their knowledge and enthusiasm about books with each other.

Project

Solution

The core user function would be the reading progress and hear from them in this regard. Moreover, the flow should make people want to follow others, authors, social groups in a fun way.

Mechanics

Gamification

Users will get XP that will lead them to different ranks and it will help to give them an idea about their literary condition.

The visualization will make the users feel like they are on a quest to a greater mission. The progress bar will be created on certain reading lists like a map that belongs to the era or will reflect the ambience.

The feeling of completion and the pride of being seen as one of the most informed people on the matter will create the sense of achievement.

Motivations

Octalysis

A human-centric gamification design framework for humans motivation.

The Octalysis framework suggests that if there are no core drives present, then there is no motivation and no behavior will happen.

This is based on the premise that almost all games appeal to certain core drives within us and motivate us towards a variety of decisions and activities. The framework divides these motivations into eight core drives.
